well on Thursday night, it was raining! Here I was driving down the road going the speed limit of about 70-75 km/ph.
The roads were a bit oily, due to it being a while since it last rained.
Ill make this short!
I had my high beams on, (as ya do), I was following the bend of the road, and a car was coming towards me.
So I turned my High beams off, but at that instant my car hit a patch of oily water, causing the car to fishtail towards this on going car.
I gained control of the car for an instant and was able to steer my car away from the other one! Which is good!
However my car took me on another swirving trip, and the car rolled landed in a ditch, on its side!!!
Here I was hanging up in the air, held to my seat by my seat belt, ( I love those things!)
I was showered in glass, but I was extreamly lucky that I escaped from the accident scratchless!!
What made things worse was that the road I was travelling on had no street lights, plus the mobile phone coverage in the area is non-existant.
So here I was running in the dark, running away from the crash scene (which yes caused a few problems), just to get some phone coverage on my mobile so that I could call someone for help...
I know running away from a crash scene is really stupid, but the road was deserted!! Finally someone drove past after about 5mins of running (and still not getting any phone coverage) some one drove by and stoped to help me!!
I thank them so much,
(just to tell U who it was, strangely enough it was a local celebrety, "the snake-man" he goes around schools and stuff talking about snakes and wildlife!!)
Any how, the car was a right off, I still cant manage to think how I escaped totally unharmed!!
The bright side to this story - I get a new car!
The bad side - I still see images in my head, the slowmotion of the scene - happening, i can remember the 10 or so thoughts racing through my head, in that split millisecond, when I realised I had no control over what was about to happen!! Its so scary - I hate it!!!
Dont worry about me I am physically ok, mentally the scars will heal over!
